Meryl Streep Dumps on Trump

Last night the Golden Globe Awards Ceremony took place, and as awards were given and the beautiful humans of Hollywood graced the carpet, Meryl Streep was the one who stole the spotlight in her acceptance speech that dumped on President-Elect Donald Trump. In a nearly 6-minute address, while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award, the actress denounced Trump’s campaign rhetoric and criticized him for mocking a disabled reporter. If you logged on Facebook anytime after 8 pm last night through the morning, there were probably at least 1,000 shares of her video on your news feed.

And as you can imagine, everyone has an opinion on Streep using her Hollywood platform to address a political issue. Trump, in expected fashion, could not let the comments go unaddressed, but had to respond using his most obnoxious and unpresidential form of communication, Twitter. I’m sure most of Ameria wishes Twitter would disable his account.

Trump’s tweet response included:

Hillary flunky who lost big. For the 100th time, I never “mocked” a disabled reporter (would never do that) but simply showed him…….

“groveling” when he totally changed a 16-year-old story that he had written to make me look bad. Just more very dishonest media!

Donald Trump is going to tire himself over the next four years if he responds to every major criticism that is said him again. He seems to enjoy digging himself deeper and deeper into a hole. He’s going to exhaust himself. Get over it man. A favorite quote of mine is “a wise man once said nothing.” Take note Mr. Trump.

We do not think that Meryl Streep is overrated. She might be a nasty woman, in the best way possible.

To me, Lauren Conrad is the cool girl in high school that lived the glamorous Laguna Beach life of hot boyfriends, high school parties, trendy fashion, and an overall fabulous life filled with captivating drama. Lauren and husband William Tell are excited about the new addition to their family! Conrad and Tell got married in 2014.The two started dating in 2013 and were together for about a year before exchanging vows. In a 2015 blog post, the ex-Hills and Laguna Beach actress were asked how many kids she wants to have with her husband. “Maybe two,” she wrote. “That way we aren’t outnumbered.”

Lauren has become established as a real adult and not just a young lady on TV with black mascara and tears running down her face from the latest reality TV drama. She has done quite well for herself. She and her hubby have not been found in any celebrity scandals, but have laid low and that seems to be working well for them. Lauren said this about William, “William hates it when I say this, but he really is a very nice guy, and when you meet a nice guy who also manages to keep your interest, that is the dream,” Lauren previously told Cosmopolitan. “If you’re going to settle down, it should be with someone you can’t stop thinking about.” We hope the best for the little family and that Lauren and William enjoy the adventure that is parenthood.

Kanye Visits Trump Tower

Kanye West doesn’t seem fazed by the backlash levied against him by fans and friends for meeting with President-elect Donald Trump. This move doesn’t look great for Trump considering Kayne’s turn of unfortunate events lately. He was admitted in November to a hospital and released early December after having a mental breakdown. Not sure what qualifications or business he has with the President-Elect. Not that we are impressed with Trump’s advisors or circles, to begin with.

A day after the hip-hop mogul’s meeting with Trump at Trump Tower in New York, West on Wednesday tweeted a signed copy of TIME Magazine’s “Person of the Year” issue with Trump on the cover.

A report from CNN stated, “This is the latest sign that West has some sort of admiration for the President-elect and is ready to work with him on issues that the rapper cares about, particularity the poverty and the violence that have plagued his native Chicago.” Kayne should probably work out his personal issues before taking on the nations. If you are not in a good state of mind, you shouldn’t be advising national issues. Kayne is neither respected nor admired by the general public. We are not sure why he thinks he is a suitable candidate to deal with these large issues. Once Mr. West returned to the lobby with Mr. Trump, he didn’t provide much information about the reasons for his visit. Seems a bit suspicious and weird if you ask me…. Our government is going to be run by reality TV stars. Fantastic.

Kayne tweeted that the meeting, which was requested by the rapper, was an opportunity for the rapper to discuss “multicultural issues.” We are not impressed with the future of our country. If “Making America Great Again” means depending on Kayne West, we are in for a bumpy four years. Is Trump “draining the swamp” or just replacing the swamp with people who are just as unqualified?
