Hillary Duff and Boyfriend Win the Award for Terrible Costumes

zdxlrd7g9znnknsscrccIt’s that time of year again, where celebs go all out dressing up for Halloween. Some celebs do an amazing job and come up with some truly amazing and creative costumes. Some celebs however do the opposite and come up with something either offensive or racist. This year the award for terribly offensive and racist costume goes to Hillary Duff and her boyfriend. Actually it is more of her boyfriend’s costume but they went as a pair so by proxy she deserves the award.

Both decided it was a good idea to dress up as a sexy pilgrim in hot pants (her) and super stereotypical Native America (him) complete with a feathered headdress and red war paint. Twitter literally exploded when the picture of the both of them in their costumes hit the internet. It was pointed out that in light of what is happening with the pipeline in North Dakota, it was in poor taste to have dressed up in those particular outfits.

Both Hillary and her boyfriend Jason Walsh then went on to issue apologies. Hillary sent out a tweet that said, “I am SO sorry to people I offended with my costume.It was not properly thought through and I am truly, from the bottom of my ❤️sorry.” and Her boyfriend posted a photo on Instagram that said, “I meant no disrespect. I only have admiration for the indigenous people of America. In hindsight I would not have made that decision. I apologize to anyone I may have offended.”

Although they both apologized, it is baffling as to why they both thought that this costume was a good idea. It seems like every year some celebrity decides that it is a good idea to either do blackface or some type of cultural appropriation. Maybe 2017 it will be different? Until then, congrats to Hillary Duff and her boyfriend for this year’s terrible costume award.

Shailene Woodley Arrested for Protesting Pipeline in North Dakota

rs_1024x759-161010171500-1024-shailene-woodley-mugshot-ms-101016Divergent actress Shailene Woodley was arrested on Monday for protesting the building of a $3.8billion pipeline. The actress livestreamed her demonstration at the construction site of the four-state Dakota Access pipeline for two-and-a-half hours on Monday before she was taken into custody. 

The Daily Mail reported that she was taken into custody by officers after what appeared to be a peaceful protest. During the video, Shailene claims that the only reason she is being arrested is because she is famous. Her video has been viewed more than 3 million times. She was one of about 100 protesters at a construction site for the controversial pipeline project which many say will destroy sacred Native American burial grounds but she was one of the only people arrested at the protest. Apparently, many of the other protesters were allowed to leave but she was arrested. She claims that she was protesting peacefully and left when she was asked to leave.

Morton County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Rob Keller says Woodley was one of 27 protesters arrested Monday. She was also charged with engaging in a riot. She was released on Tuesday morning at 11:00am ET after spending a night behind bars.

Lindsay Lohan’s Ex Fires Back After Accusations

This time, her ex is firing back after her accusations of abuse and being a mooch. Lindsay went on Russian live TV to blast her ex Egor Tarabasov for being lazy and not contributing any money towards their relationship. She claims that she had to foot all the bills and that he didn’t pay for anything the entire time they were together.

Not so says sources close to Egor. He claims to have made all the money between the two of them and that Lindsay was the one mooching off of him. The sources say that she had access to his credit card which she used to buy herself and her family all kinds of gifts. Even the emerald engagement ring was purchased by Egor.

Lindsay has also make accusations in the past saying that Egor is abusive. She claims that he would hit her so hard that it would leave bruises. Egor vehemently denies both accusations and says that he will pursue legal action if need be to clear his name.

This sad shame spiral is something we are used to seeing with Lindsay Lohan. Sometimes it is hard to tell who is telling the truth. She is just a hot mess of emotions and it’s not a surprise based on the people that raised her. we really hope that at some point she can get her life together.

Brangelina is No More

Jennifer is finally avenged. Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt. She filed legal documents this week that site irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce. The date of separation is cited as September 15th, 2016.

For those of you that have been in a coma for the last decade, Brad Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston  when he worked with Angelina on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Soon after the movie was released, there were rumors abound about a secret relationship between Jolie and Pitt. Pitt and Aniston divorced and very shortly after, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were a couple. It didn’t take a genius to figure out the timelines overlapped a bit. The world was divided into Team Aniston and Team Jolie but in the end Pitt and Jolie were together for about 10 years and everyone thought that they would be the Hollywood couple that would actually make it.

Sources tell TMZ that the main reason for the divorce stems from how Pitt is parenting their children. She is asking for physical custody and she wants the judge to give Pitt visitation. She only wants joint legal custody with Pitt and not physical custody. This is pretty telling as to how she feels about his parenting. She is not asking for any child support.

Color us shocked. We thought that this crazy couple was going to actually make it. They both seemed slightly weird enough and in love enough to defeat all the odds.
