Pippa Middleton’s Wedding

Sound the Wedding Bells! Pippa Middleton is officially married and she was an absolutely stunning bride! She is still the world’s most famous bridesmaid, but this round she stole the show as the bride.The couple tied the knot at St Mark’s church in Englefield, Berkshire, located a few miles away from the Middleton family home.

Pippa captured the world’s attention when she wore a white Alexander McQueen dress as her sister’s bridesmaid. When it was her turn to walk down the aisle, she was wearing a custom Giles Deacon gown. The cream-colored lace dress which is drawing comparisons to her sister’s famous wedding look, features an a-line shape, high neck, and cap sleeves. Pippa paired the gown with a sparkly headpiece and a simple veil. As with every royal wedding, I’m sure we will start to see this dress in various styles and versions over the next fashion seasons, just as we saw with Princess Kate. The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister and the 40-year-old millionaire announced the good news last year on July 19, after just a year of dating. After their engagement, Pippa’s family members quickly expressed their approval for Matthews, as well as their happiness. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge issued a statement saying they were “absolutely delighted with the news.” Pippa and Kate’s father, Michael Middleton, said, “They make a wonderful couple, and we wish them every happiness together.”

The wedding was very traditional and followed strict guidelines for guests. Pippa implemented a “no ring, no bring” policy, meaning that guests could only bring their partners to the church if they were either married or engaged. It was said to be a beautiful and intimate gathering of close family and friends in the countryside. Cheers to the beautiful couple!

 

Dance Moms’ Abby Lee Miller Sentenced to a Year in Prison

Dance Moms’ is facing a new kind of drama of a more serious nature. Almost a year and a half after she was first indicted on 20 accounts of fraud, former Dance Moms host Abby Lee Miller was sentenced today to one year and one day in prison by a federal judge in Pittsburgh. Abby Lee has found herself in some hot water.

The reality star, who rose to fame on the Lifetime series Dance Moms, was sentenced to one year and one day in prison followed by two years of supervised release on Tuesday. She was also reportedly fined $40,000 and ordered to pay a $120,000 judgment. She has 45 days to report to prison. “It’s a very serious situation when someone who files for bankruptcy isn’t truthful with the court,” Judge Joy Flowers Conti told the reality star in court.

The 50-year-old dance instructor was initially indicted in 2015 on 20 charges of bankruptcy fraud, concealment of bankruptcy assets and false bankruptcy declarations after the FBI, IRS and postal inspectors conducted an investigation. She allegedly hid more than $755,000 in other bank accounts, income reportedly stemming from appearances on the show in 2012 and 2013.

Lee Miller initially filed for bankruptcy in 2010. In the reorganization plan she submitted to the court, the reality star did not indicate she had a contract for the show. It reportedly was not until Judge Thomas Agresti spotted the choreographer on television that he canceled a hearing to discharge her bankruptcy case and requested she disclose any contracts.

“The problem here is that it looks to the court that she was hiding the ball,” Judge Agresti said at the time, per the newspaper, “and until she got caught we wouldn’t have known about this. Miller also pleaded guilty to one count of not reporting an international monetary transaction. In March, she also announced she was leaving the TV series.

While appearing in court Tuesday, she told the judge she was ashamed to be meeting this way and that she wished the judge could have taken her class. We wonder what her dance studio girls will think when they find out their teacher has gone to jail, and if she is sorry for her actions, or just sorry she got caught.  What have we learned here? It’s always better to tell the whole truth. And if you are not sure about a legal question, it’s better to investigate with professionals than making assumptions. You know what they say about assuming.

 

Stephen Colbert Doesn’t Regret Trump/Putin Joke

Stephen Colbert has ruffled some feathers this week. Stephen Colbert responded to #FireColbert backlash over a crude oral-sex joke he made about President Donal Trump and Vladimir Putin on Monday, May 1. Trump supporters and others thought the comment was inappropriate and called for the comedian to be dropped from the CBS show. Social Media did not take kindly to Colbert’s comment on the President of the United States. He got roasted.

The TV host, 52, opened his Wednesday, May 3, episode by addressing the controversy. “Welcome to The Late Show,” he said. “I’m your host, Stephen Colbert. Still? I am still the host? I’m still the host!”

Colbert went on to explain that his scathing monologue was inspired by Trump abruptly ending an Oval Office interview with fellow CBS correspondent John Dickerson. “Now, if you saw my monologue Monday, you know that I was a little upset at Donald Trump for insulting a friend of mine,” he said. “So at the end of that monologue, I had a few choice insults for the president in return. I don’t regret that. He, I believe, can take care of himself. I have jokes; he has the launch codes. So, it’s a fair fight.”  On Monday evening, Colbert riffed on the fact that Trump abruptly ended an interview with CBS News political director John Dickerson after the journalist asked about Trump’s disputed wiretapping claims against former President Barack Obama.

“Mr. Trump, your presidency, I love your presidency; I call it ‘Disgrace the Nation,'” Colbert, who calls Dickerson a friend, said Monday. “The only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin’s c—holster.” The joke was met with backlash from Trump supporters and conservatives, and the #FireColbert hashtag started trending on Twitter. “Life is short, and anyone who expresses their love for another person in their own way is, to me, an American hero,” Colbert said Wednesday. We can always count on Colbert to push the limits and ruffle so feathers. Just like those who don’t like Donald Trump have to deal with what he says, those who don’t like Colbert can also deal.

Kim Kardashian West Calls Caitlyn Jenner’s Book ‘Hurtful’

The Kardashians never leave us wondering what they think. Kim Kardashian West is not holding back on her opinions of Caitlyn Jenner’s revealing new book. During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that will air Thursday, the 36-year-old reality star spoke honestly about Jenner’s new memoir, The Secrets of My Life, claiming that parts of the revealing book aren’t true. Kim said, “My heart breaks for my mom you know because I feel like she’s been through so much and Caitlyn is promoting this book and she’s saying all these things,” Kardashian West told host Ellen DeGeneres. “I don’t think it’s necessary and I just feel like it’s unfair, things aren’t truthful.”

In the new memoir that was released earlier this week, 67-year-old Jenner opened up about everything from her decision to transition in 2015 to her decades-long marriage to Kris. The Kardashian-Jenner family matriarch, 61, has reacted angrily to the passages about the claims that she knew Jenner was transgender before they got married.“I feel like it’s taken Caitlyn a really long time to be honest with herself, so I don’t expect her to be honest about my mom now. But it’s just so hurtful. I wish her all the success in the world, but not at our expense,” said Kim

Kardashian West’s relationship with Jenner has seen its up and downs in the wake of the Olympian’s transition. The mom of two has been a vocal supporter of Jenner but has urged the star to not “bash” the Kardashian family. Now, Kardashian West revealed she hasn’t spoken to Jenner in weeks, but added, “I’ll always love her.” “That was my stepdad for so many years. She taught me about character and so much growing up and I just feel like I don’t respect the character that she’s showing now,” the Kim K  told DeGeneres.

“Like I said, I’ll still always have major love for her, for who she was in my life … It’s still Kendall and Kylie’s dad so I wanna be respectful, but I just feel like there’s no need for a book.”

She added: “Tell your story but don’t bash other people. I just think it’s not, like, tasteful.” It seems that Caitlyn might have been bottling up a lot of hurt and resentment, and this book is her outlet. We have to admit that living with all the Kardashian women for all those years was probably not always easy. We are happy that Caitlyn is able to express her true self in daily life and express her story through her book. It seems like all family members have supported Caitlyn so far, but it will be interesting to see how dynamics change after the book release. This family does have a strong sense of loyalty and have always supported and come back around to each other after disagreements. We’ll see how this all ends up playing out.

 

Kylie Jenner to Star in Her Own Reality Show

Kylie Jenner is being offered her own show as a spin-off of KUWTK (Keeping Up With the Kardashians). Jenner is no newbie to reality TV, as she and her family have been viewed by the public since she was 9-years-old. As Kyle has blossomed into adulthood under the public eye, she has been subject to scrutiny and critique. From her bold looks, nail art, lips, or boyfriends, Kylie has a way of keeping fans entertained, ‘s no wonder that she is getting her own show–people are interested in her lifestyle.

According to E!, the eight-episode series will document her entrepreneurial endeavors as well as her downtime spent with her BFF Jordyn Woods. For her part, Jenner is ready to show viewers how much she’s grown since making her television debut on KUWTK in 2007 and she’s thrilled to invite fans into her inner circle.

If you can give this family credit where credit is due, they know how to brand and make business deals that land them a pretty good financial situation. Mama Kris Jenner is no fool. She knows exactly what she is doing. And for better or worse, it’s working.

E! announced Monday that it will premiere Life of Kylie, an eight-part, half-hour docuseries, later this summer. In addition to starring in the show, the 19-year-old queen of the cosmetics industry will also wear an executive producer hat along with Ryan Seacrest and Kris Jenner. Her show will give her millions of social media followers a behind the scenes look at how she expands her empire.

“The last couple years have been such an incredible journey with the support of my fans,” Kylie said in a press release from the network. “This show will allow me to give them a peek inside all of the exciting things I am working on as well as some personal time with friends.” Maybe the news of this new show will distract people from Kendall Jenner’s Pepsi advertisement.

Life of Kylie, which will premiere later this summer on E!, joins the family of other KUWTK spinoffs including Khloé & Lamar, Rob & Chyna, Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami and Kourtney & Kim Take New York. Keeping Up With Kardashians will never end it seems.
